My story began in New York City
I was a theater child who was READY to take on the big apple and I really did. I stayed in school for two years, managed classes, Broadway auditions, and two jobs, all while exploring that magical city like no other, and even moved into my first apartment at 19.
I loved everything about New York yet I knew that there was more to my story.
When I turned 20, I was invited to perform in Greece and that is when my universe shifted.
By that time I had been practicing Yoga for two years as I have a lifelong spinal disability that Yoga miraculously made non-existent. The director of the show I was in needed someone to teach Yoga to warm us all up. Since I had been practicing, I raised my hand to teach. Upon teaching my first Yoga class, I quit acting and then flew back to New York to get my Yoga certifications. It was on that Greek island though where I had dreamt of teaching on all the islands around the world.
Two years after teaching in New York City…
I booked a one way to Europe with a backpack and Yoga mat ready to teach the world.
Nine years, 19 countries, hundreds of Yoga studios, dozens of Yoga festivals, hotels, hostels, fitness malls, a refugee camp, a Grammy-nominated music video, three managed studios, dozens of businesses built and succeeded, commercials filmed, and the most beautiful heart wide open students from all over the world, later…
My dream in Portugal began
9 years ago when I booked that one way to Europe and just happened to meet my full-of-love Portuguese family. I fell madly in love with Portugal, my beautiful family, the Pastel de Natas, the deep blue ocean that makes me giggle with joy every time I get hit with a wave, the humor and kindness of Portuguese people, and the vibrant community of women who inspired me to open my home yoga studio, The Yoga Hostel. It was a cosy space full of movement, laughter, joy, and a gorgeous miradouro view of Lisbon that provided accessible yoga for everyday people. My studio was a dream come true, but after three years, it was time to leave Portugal for a place full of unexpected MAGIC!
London is calling
London, the most unexpected, full of LOVE adventure that FLOWED to me with EASE. And that’s how I knew: What is meant for you WILL flow to you with ease.
I was ready to leave Lisbon and perhaps Portugal so I took October off (the month of exhales) to explore the country to find my new home, but after exploring every beach town, dance floor, and city, I couldn’t find a place that felt like the magic I was calling in…
Until I found myself in London for a trip I had planned six months well before I knew I wanted to leave Portugal, but perhaps my soul knew.
I flew to London and felt every part of me wake up with MAGIC, so I flew back to Portugal and shut down my studio.
Then I kept returning to London until I moved there on January 1st to begin an adventure embodied by love.
My business is a bit different.
You see, I believe in your magic fiercely, and I fully believe that wellness can change the world when we make it accessible to anyone who wants to experience it.
I don’t believe that wellness or the business of it “should” be taught one way. As a traveling yoga teacher and business owner, I have learned that we all learn and experience life in different vibrations which is why I have multiple offerings: because I am skilled and passionate about multiple things.
I am a Retreat Sales Expert and a Business Consultant for Wellness Professionals, Studios, and Retreat Hosts who also happens to teach yoga and lead teacher trainings. It’s a lot *and* we are ALLOWED TO BE A LOT. Yoga teaches us to take up space and the last time I checked, we are here to do that.
And because I can’t go a full day without mentioning my favorite women run business owners: Taylor Swift, Rachel Brathen, and Rihanna - didn’t become legends by playin it small. They ARE legendary women of the world because they CHOSE to become BOLD business owners who make BOLD business moves.
